Safe Haven Care Foundation, we are dedicated to empowering lives and building hope for those affected by sex trafficking, homelessness, and the challenges of transitioning out of foster care.
Safe Haven Care Foundation is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization committed to helping in the fight against Sex trafficking, providing housing for homeless veterans, Shelter for the Homeless & Teen Adults (that age out of the foster care at 18 years of age).
Our goal is to create and develop safe housing, a working model for sex traffic survivors, homeless veterans, homeless shelters, and young adult homeless shelters for homeless children. This would include housing, education, training, healthcare and ultimately preparation for Academic Enrichment Programs for success. Furthermore, National Awareness and advocacy is one of our marching orders.
We bring the right people together to challenge the mindset of the old establishment to transform the future
We unite the right individuals to question prevailing ideas and catalyze transformation to make a difference.
We unite individuals to challenge conventional beliefs, catalyze transformation, and contribute to ending homelessness.
Of the estimated 600,000 to 800,000 people trafficked across international borders annually, 80 percent of victims are female, and up to 50 percent are minors. Hundreds of thousands of these women and children are used in prostitution each year. The vast majority of women in prostitution are forced into working as sex slaves.
Sex Trafficking or Human trafficking, also known as trafficking in persons, is a crime that involves the exploitation of a person for the purpose of compelled sex or labor. The average life expectancy of a trafficking victim is 7 years. The average age of entry into sex trafficking is 12 years old.
Because human trafficking operates in in secret and on the internet, it’s difficult to get the accurate number of victims. However, many documented trafficking victims are women, boys and girls. In addition, three out of four are trafficked for the purpose of sexual exploitation.
Across the world, millions of women, boys, and girls live in the long shadows of human trafficking. Whether trapped by force, bullying, or deceit, they live in limbo, in fear, in agony and in constant imminent danger.
